About

I am a multi-faceted professional in project and document management. I have a genuine passion for guiding big ideas into functioning realities.

I started out creating a small publication for an online MMORPG that functioned like a volunteer newspaper. I was Editor-in-Chief of The Crystal Chronicle, and I spent a majority of my time managing the volunteers who contributed to the paper. My general love of systems and efficiency led me to explore what eventually became my education: a bachelor’s in Technical and Professional Writing.

During my degree, I was offered a job as a technical editor for Indiana University Online’s collaborative programs team. I worked primarily with Dr. Allison Chatterjee as a two-person team building up the assessment portion of the office, eventually shifting from a part-time student to a full-time employee. While there, I designed presentations, created templates, and established workflows for complex data.

While working with IU Online, I began contracting for the ROTEL Project. I was originally brought on to create a style guide, but my position gradually expanded to technical editing, coordinating with and guiding authors through the publication process, providing quality assurance, giving presentations, and eventually producing a publication on behalf of the Publishing Support Team.

My experience has combined the aspects of technical writing, documentation management, process management, and project management. I pursued Project Management certification to better reflect the skills I have learned, and I look forward to what I can learn next.
