ROTEL Technical Editing

In the summer of 2022, I was brought on to the Remixing Open Textbooks with an Equity Lens (ROTEL) Grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education. I worked on the grant’s first published book, Reading and Writing Successfully in College. I ported the book’s contents from its draft form in Google Docs to Pressbooks and worked with the author on design choices and accessibility, as well as managing technical issues involved in the limitations of the WordPress base used by Pressbooks. My contributions are noted on the Acknowledgements page. My work on this book led to the creation of a permanent Publishing Support Team. I served as Technical Editor on the entirety of the ROTEL Project catalogue.

Freelance Editing for a Novelist

As a freelance project, I worked with October K. Santerelli on several early projects as he prepared for publication. This work has included developmental, copy, content, and line editing. While it is difficult to quantify the work I did with October, I value the experiences and the opportunities of the project, as they helped hone my work ethic and professional communication skills.
