In 2023, I presented with Dr. Patricia Lynne on the importance of providing options when building learning materials. We collaborated on the important points and approached the topic from both the perspective of an instructor and a technical editor and recent graduate.
Our presentation, titled Embrace the Power of “And”: Accessibility for All Learners, reviewed Dr. Lynne’s efforts in her OER Textbook (Reading and Writing Successfully in College: A Guide for Students) in providing options for the students using her book that we collaborated on during the editing and revision process.
